The Rotary Bookshop is located in the "Hub" in Chapel Street, Appleby. The Hub is a community building run by the Oaklea Trust, there is a café in the building located in the same place as the bookshop.details

The Rotary Club of Appleby was chartered in 1965, the mother club being Penrith. There are usually in the region of thirty plus members in the club.
The Charter night is usually in mid to late April.
