Shelter Box Donations
In an outstanding achievement - Billericay Rotary club has gained a Bronze award for donating over £10,000 to fund 25 Shelter Boxes for international disaster relief - a notable achievement in charitable donations.
Young Chef 2013 - District Winner
Sat 9th February Following success in the Billericay Young Chef competition on January 23rd, the winner, James Whitehead, won the District Finals on February 9th., and has now successfully competed in the Regional Finals on March 16th. Many congratulations to James.
Grapevine Blues Concert June 2013
Sat 29th June Grand Charity Summer Concert - after its very successful "Blues at Burstead" concert in summer 2012, the Grapevine Blues Band will perform an evening charity concert at Emmanuel's Church Billericay on June 29, 2013 in aid of the End Polio Now campaign.
A Walk on the Blind Side
Mon 8th April Our Club supported the charity ORBIS and its fund-raiser Orbithon, with a "Blind" walk for a mile by President Elect Keith Woods. This walk was also supported by other clubs in our District. Keith's walk was a front page feature in the Billericay Gazette
Christmas Market 2012
Sun 2nd December Following the success of the 2011 Christmas Market, with over 25,000 visitors, The Rotary Club of Billericay gave wholehearted support to the Rotary Club of Billericay Mayflower who organized the event again this year, raising over £30,000 for charity.

The Club meets every Monday at 12.45 for 1.00pm
at the Ivory Rooms. Laindon Rd. Billericay
We’re a small, friendly club of enthusiastic and active volunteers who want to enjoy ourselves and give our time and talents to help others both locally and overseas. The Rotary motto is “Service above Self”, and we are people from all walks of life who share a common interest in helping others.
Over the last 12 months we have:

Made charitable donations to 23 Charities totalling over £9,000, while at the same time donating $2,000 to Rotary International’s Stop Polio campaign.

community including organizing a School Art Exhibition, and the “Youth Speaks” and “Young Chef” competitions.

Helped other local charitable clubs with
their events including the Billericay Summerfest, the Guy Fawkes Fireworks Display, and Christmas Market. Click on the image on the left for a twenty minute

Supported International initiatives
with a twinning visit to the Rotary Club of Alba in Italy, and helping host the Group Study Exchange visit from Brazil.

Held fundraising events such as Music and Gluhwein at the Christmas Market, a President's day Trip on the Thames,
and including the “Blues at Burstead” – the major music in the garden event of the year - and the "Harmony Brass" Autumn Musicfest at Emmanuel Church at end October.
