Club Council for 2023-24

Philip Goodman (Community and Vocational), Mo Sadiq (Immediate Past President), Francis Whitbread (President), Jenny Black (Secretary), Angela Goodman (Youth Service) and Alison Moses (Environment). Not Present: Bob Booker (Treasurer) and Chuda Karki (Foundation and International).

Our President welcomes you to the Club website and invites you to join members in the Fellowship of Rotary. In the last few years the Club has successfully completed projects in Sierra Leone and Nepal, the latter in conjunction with local Rotary Clubs there. Closer to home we are engaged with Sanctus, one of the local charities providing services for homeless people, giving them practical help and financial support. These are but some of the many ways that Rotary in Chelmsford has moved forward in serving others.

Chelmsford Rotary Club is the original club in the city formed way back in 1927. Since this time members have brought a richness of life to many people in the community and moved on with a broader involvement to incorporate numerous local and international projects. Rotarians offer their services in many different ways. If you have recently moved to the Chelmsford district and wish to put something back into the community, we can offer you an enjoyable and stimulating way of doing so.

We meet:

  • on the first and third Thursdays of the month for lunch at the Chelmsford Rugby Club, Timsons Lane, Chelmsford, Essex, CM2 6AG; and
  • on the fourth Thursday of the month for lunch at the Ivy Hill Hotel, Writtle Road, Margaretting, Essex, CM4 0EH.

For the second and fifth Thursdays of a month check this website.

If you would like to attend one of our meetings please contact our Attendance Officer, Keith Otter (see this page).

If you wish to obtain further information contact us on 07857 469275. To discover more about Rotary and Rotarians go to the RIBI website.

You would be very welcome to come along to a meeting to hear more of what Rotary does and how you could be involved.  Just phone or complete the contact form on this website.
