Eight Rotarians and their spouses enjoyed another great District Conference on 16-18 March at Bournemouth. As always the organisation was perfect. The excellent speakers included
Mike Clare - Founder of Dream Beds and the Clare Foundation
Andy White - on the Royal National Lifeboat Institution
Michael Portillo - politician, writer and broadcaster - an excellent keynote speaker
Sister Frances Dominica - founder of Helen House hospice in Oxfordshire
Geoff Mackey - Rotarian and entertainer
The Friday evening entertainment was by the Swindon based Kentwood Show Choir, and the Saturday evening dinner was in the form of a Beach Party (casual), with dancing to the excellent Joe Loss Orchestra.
District 1090 Conference next year will be on 1-3 March, again at Bournemouth.
