November 2021 events

An update on recent events

On 19th November, two noteworthy events took place.

In the morning, President scott Elliot accompanied by Rotarian Mairhi Trickett, presented a cheque for £100 to Marcia Brown of the Royal Voluntary Service to buy Christmas Presents for the attendees at the senior persons' group at the Katherine Elliot Centre.

In the afternoon, four representatives of Hawick Rotary, President Scott Elliot and Rotarians Sandy Bannerman, Ron Smith and Linden Warburton, attended Honorary Member and Past President Jock Thorburn's 95th Birthday Celebration at Balcary House Hotel. This was a very happy occasion and it was great to meet up again with Jock and his extended family and friends. Jock was presented with a bottle of malt, and with a card signed by the majority of the members of the club.
