We were joined this week by John Watkins and Annie Farwell from The Rotary Club of Chichester Priory.
John introduced us to the concept of Club Visioning which is a tool to help members develop a long term plan for the future of the club.
Visioning started in the USA in 2002 and has been adapted to suit Rotary. It is fully supported by Rotary GB&I and by District 1145. More than 50% of clubs in the former District 1250 have had Visioning presentations and of those 70% have had or plan to have the full Visioning session.
After learning from John what the process is and what it is intended to achieve the next step is for the Twickenham club to decide whether it wants to get actively involved in Visioning.
It is very clear from his talk that John is passionate about the subject and his visit left us enthusiastic and interested to consider it more.
