Humorous anecdotes inspired by real events at the Ripon Spa Hotel were recalled by Samantha Thompson yesterday. Samantha was able to draw on a rich supply of stories after living at the Hotel from five years of age.

Presentations of cheques for £1,000 each were presented to Mark Scott representing Jennyruth Workshops, Jacqui Allinson of the League of Friends of Ripon and Harrogate Hospitals and Jenny Moss of the Ripon branch of Yorkshire Cancer Research.

A certificate was presented to Philip Sherwood to mark his generosity in providing a coach for the Fountains by Floodlight visit.

The Christmas dinner tick list closes next week.

Inner Wheel's 50's evening is to be held at Bishop Monkton Hall on 24th February.
