Rotary Foundation advance the world understanding, goodwill & peace through the improvement of health, education & alleviation of poverty. The Rotary motto 'Service Above Self' conveys the humanitarian spirit of this organisation, with more than 1.2m. members, through meanful community & international service projects, including - Eradication of Polio; Reducing Child Mortality & Fighting Hunger & Water deprivation.

Rotary Foundation has many branches within the overall scheme, Service & Fellowship include projects for Ambassadorial Scholarships; Group Study Exchange are examples where vocational exchange opportunities for business and professionals between 25 - 40 may visit different countries to observe & study the host countries institutions & cultures; develope their personal & professional relationships.

Our own club have a particular interest in developing the Foundation principle with the Rotary Club of Sahiwal Central in Pakistan. We are now completing the third project at the MG Girls High school at Sahiwal which caters for over 2000 students. The standard of building maintenance; drainage; sewage & toilets are totally inadequate; hazardous & unhygienic. The Rotary Matching Grant scheme arrangement with our own club's financial support will enable this work to be successfully completed.
