Towards the end of the school year club members present a Usborne Illustrated Dictionaries to Year 2 children at local schools.  This has become an annual project, the dictionaries being given to Year 2, to enable them to use the books throughout their Junior years.

To date over 2,000 children have been the recipients of these colourful books and we hope to continue with the tradition.

Residents at Kynoch Court were delighted to receive a new Dartboard from the Rotary Club of Stanford and Corringham.  Playing three times a week over the years had taken it's toll on the old board with darts dropping out or bouncing off.

Sprightly ninety one year old Ken Stanley, founder of the Colts football club at Bata, praised the work of Rotary and thanked our Rotary club for all that they do.

Wel will continue programmes such as OAP's Christmas lunch, Kids Out and Year 2 Dictionaries, but also ensure that community based projects locally are identified and where possible help provided.

Fund raising continues to build on our strengths, these include the Golf Day, Christmas Sleigh and the race night.
