SUCCESS FOR 2 YOUNG MUSICIANS IN ROTARY COMPETITION

Two young musicians from Berwickshire have won through the regional heats of the prestigious Rotary Young Musician of the Year Competition.


SUCCESS FOR 2 YOUNG MUSICIANS IN ROTARY COMPETITION
 
Two musicians from Berwickshire, Valerie Marchland [piano] and Eilidh Bell [vocals], have won through the regional heats of the prestigious Rotary Young Musician of the Year Competition. Valerie and Eilidh will compete for top honours in the final of the competition to be held at Stewarts Melville College Edinburgh on Sunday 11 March 2012.
 
Rotarian Ricky Amos, local organiser, said 'it's great that we have so much musical talent among our young folk: We wish Valerie and Eilidh every success in the final'.
 
Sadly for Valerie and Eilidh they were unsuccessful in the Finals but the level of talent and ability was so high that the Finals provided a superb concert experience for all who attended and they can be very proud of their achievement in taking part.
