So what is Rotary?
It's a social club with a purpose, a service club; its motto is service above self with a strong emphasis on charity fundraising
The Grimsby Club
Formed 1930 (Charter 1931) the club was formed by the Rotary Club of Hull, and has 64 members
What is our club like?
Friendly, relaxed, warm atmosphere. We also enjoy social events such as Bridge, Golf, Snooker, Clay pigeon shooting, walking weekend, ladies Coffee mornings and theatre outings.
There is social networking as well as business networking and Fellowship.
We also visit places of local interest (Community/Vocational) e.g. Novartis, Heat and Power plant, Waddington R.A.F base.
The president's main charities have been:
2010/2011- MENCAP (locally); St Andrew's Hospice.
2011/2012 - St Andrew's Hospice Children's Hospice; N.S.P.C.C., Wish Upon A Star.
2012/2013 - Doorstep, FLAG, Linkage Trust, Immingham 100
2014/2015 - St Andrew's Hospice, Grimsby Motor Project
Fund raising how?
