We have a new category of Membership known as Monthly Membership which we have created due to demand from busy people. You can now join our club by committing to one meeting each calendar month at £23 per month. This will include the cost of one breakfast each month and also your national affiliation fees. Full membership at £50 per month including four breakfasts is still a better deal for those who can make regular weekly meetings BUT if you are pressed for time but still want to put 'Service above Self' and do your bit for the community, then Monthly Membership might just be right for you. For more information contact Jean or Dorothy as below or give Greg a ring on 07850 791324

Now the smaller print:

The Rotary Club of Reading Matins is one of six clubs in the Town and was formed as the first breakfast club in Berkshire in 1992. The Club has approximately 30 members, both men and women drawn from the local business and professional community.

We meet at 7:30 to 8.30am each Wednesday at Zest in Lime Square, Green Park, South Reading, except on 5th Wednesdays when we tend to organise evening socials. We have found that our "daybreak" meetings allow our professional and business members to enjoy meeting together over breakfast without compromising their work routine. We also have retired business members who wish to continue to work in the community. At these breakfast meetings we often have visiting speakers who speak on areas of their expertise which impact on business and the community.

The Club does considerable work in many areas of the community and overseas as club projects or in alliances with other clubs. Our motto is "Service above Self" and we find that by working together we can achieve more than we could manage individually. Club Membership also provides excellent networking opportunities and our social programme and weekly meetings provide fellowship, opportunities for community service and lots of fun.

Membership usually results from an introduction by an existing member however we are always looking for new faces especially individuals who seek to serve the community and enjoy fun and friendship in so doing.

Should you be interested in coming to one of our meetings to see if Rotary is for you then please contact Jean Charmak, our Membership Secretary, via her e-mail: jeancharmak@googlemail.com or our Membership Chair, Dorothy Dix via her e mail : Dorothy@creatingbetterfutures.org.uk
