12.30pm Luncheon

Wed, Dec 4th 2013 at 12:00 am - 12:00 am

Speaker: David Chamberlain. Subject: The new slaughterhouse.

David Chamberlain attended the club and gave an excellent talk on the new Island Slaughter House.

David is the first independent States Vet ever to be appointed and for those who thought that his talk was going to be based on "bricks and mortar" they were in for a surprise.

David's talk did of course cover the history of the old building and the construction of the new, but he also covered (in fine detail and power point!) how slaughter methods have changed over the years.

An excellent talk with David being introduced by the President and a vote of thanks given by John Campbell.
