Chiddingfold resident Jenny Smart worked as a volunteer GamesMaker for the London 2012 Olympics which gave her ample opportunity to tour the numerous Olympic venues in and around London. As a keen artist and enthusiastic gardener she particularly appreciated the architecture, artworks and planting of the Olympic Park, so this will be the focus of her talk. Illustrated by a selection of her own photos she will explain the background to the planting designs of the flowers, meadows and wetland areas within the Olympic Park. She will also highlight a selection of the more interesting and unusual art works specially commissioned for the Olympic Park, such as the sunken telephone boxes, the History Trees and the Bit.fall waterfall and will draw attention to features of the many beautiful Olympic venues such as the so-called
