Club Meeting with Guest Speaker


The Rotary Club was under the convenorship of Vice President Sandy Bannerman at last week's meeting when the guest speaker was Gordon Jackson, MBE who gave an update on the Jumbulance Trust. with which he is deeply involved with the Borders Holiday Group.  They arrange and take a party of Sick and Disabled People. always referred to as VIP's. from the Borders and Southern Scotland on European holidays every two years.  The Group, well known and highly respected in Hawick, started in 2005 and 64 people have enjoyed a holiday since then.  The coaches are specially constructed to take 8 VIP's and 10 carers for a 10 day holiday and 9 trips have previously been made. The coaches are ultra modern and custom made and the present one cost
