Eliana in Brazil who has lived in an iron lung from 1976 at the age of 2.
Ayuba in Nigeria had his life after Polio transformed at the age of 19, 15 years after contracting Polio, by a tricycle. He now runs a centre for the Handicapped.
Diana in USA caught polio from her husband, a Rotarian, in 1951. For the rest of her life she only saw her 3 children (aged 5, 2 and 3 months in 1951) form the confines of an iron lung.
Ade in Nigeria was 15 months old when he cauht Polio having had 2 of the 3 drops of vaccine that would have protected him. He went on to be a Paralympian and works for Channel 4 in the UK.
