Lunchtime Meeting with Speaker

Our speaker was Lindsay Poulsom from Carer Support Wiltshire.
Lindsay came to provide the club with up-to-date information about Carers in Wiltshire.
- The charity is now supporting some 8,000 carers.
- In Wilsthire, around 47,000 people recognise themselves as carers.
- There are 2,998 unpaid carers in and around Royal Wootton Bassett.
Over the past two years, the charity has developed new services for carers in the Royal Wootton Bassett area. A pampering service has been introduced and free counselling is available. They are also working with local GP surgeries to provide health checks for carers.
