Sports Night at Langholm

Away fixture, for the annual sports night at Langholm, with their surrounding clubs
Hawick Rotary Club quiz team travelled to Annan last week and defeated Newton Stewart 29-13 in round 3 of the the plate in the District quiz competition. The team was Ron Smith, Ron Sutherland, Jim Walker and Gus Neilson and the quizmaster was Alan McCreadie. Last Thursday night several members went to Langholm and took part in the annual Cross-Border games competition involving Langholm, Lockerbie, Brampton and Longtown and Hawick Rotary clubs. Andrew Suddon won the domino tournament while Robin Mason and Jim Walker were runners-up in the carpet bowls.
