President Scott Elliot chaired last week's meeting of the Rotary Club and welcomed visitor Eileen Smith. The speaker was Pat Sutherland who described a "Dander in the Dolomites" which referred to a hiking holiday she undertook with her husband Ron in the region. With the aid of slides she highlighted the magnificent mountain scenery and the various routes they covered including one where they descended a hazardous glacier. She accompanied the slides with songs which were applicable to the views to the pleasure of the members. After an excellent talk the vote of thanks was given by husband Ron.
