Mark Ducie - Defibrillators

Tue, Dec 2nd 2014 at 12:00 am - 2:00 am

The story of the remarkable progress of the provision of defibrillators in Barrow, so cardiopulmonary resuscitation is readily available, was explained to Barrow Rotary Club by Mark Ducie, the secretary and treasurer of the Barrow Defibrillators Appeal.

He said that with Barrow being the fifth worst town in the country for cardiac problems, the appeal was launched by John Murphy when he was mayor of Barrow in 2011-2012.

The aim was to make the town a safer place to work and live by  having handily available equipment that can be a life saver for people having heart attacks
