Supporting Young People - Rotary Travel Award
This is a financial award of £300 made by the Rotary Club of Wymondham to a student, currently in year 13 who is undertaking some form of travel and activity, most probably to support a gap year type programme.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate that their activity will lead to the benefit of society either locally or internationally.
Applications will be considered by a panel and applicants will be interviewed prior to the selection of the award winner. The deadline for receipt of applications is Friday 21st April, and interviews will take place in the week beginning 24th April.
Conditions of the Rotary Travel Award:
• Trips that include a period of salaried employment are not eligible for an award
• Any activity should have some purpose or benefit for people other than the student
• On completion of the activity the successful applicant is expected to provide the Rotary Club of Wymondham with a short written or verbal report of the work involved.
