Mike is the Chairperson of The Galgael Trust based in Govan.

He is also a Trustee of a number of  other Third Sector Organisations concerned  with developing social  capital, human ecology,  drug  treatment and  drug  reform,and  services  for  the  disabled from  1976/1996.

He  held  various  posts in  Strathclyde  Regions Social  Services  working  with  offenders, children  and  families, disabled people  and  voluntary  sector.

Community  development , between 1995/1999 Mike  was  local  Government  Counciliar  in  East  Dunbartonshire  and  spokesperson  for  Social  affairs   at  the  convention  of  Local  Authority  . 

TOPIC.  Citizens  Income,  [Sometimes  called  basic  Income or  Universal  Benefit] is  an  automatic  unconditional  and non withdrawable  income for  every  citizen.

It  is  intended  to  overcome  the  failings  of the  preset welfare  state.

It  would  be  simple  in  application,  increase  economic efficiency, help  prevent  poverty  and  unite  our  Society.
