The lunchtime speaker today was Simon Huxford from the Cleethorpes Pier Development Team.
Simon had brought plans, photographs of the development and proforma menus for the members to peruse. They hope to be open to the public in June 2015.
He explained that at the entrance of the pier there would be an old fashioned pub (no music) on the left hand side and on the right hand side a tea shop. This would be an upmarket tea shop and clients would be able to purchase cakes etc. to take home.
Inside there would a function room and this could be varied in size with movable doors and could be used for dances, exhibitions or for conferences. There will a meeting room on the mezzanine floor.
A restaurant will be established and be of a high standard, the main feature being fine dining
