Members of RC of Chestfield welcomed Robert and Pat McFarlane into Rotary on 5th November 2015.
Robert approached us at Whitstable Regatta by asking to have wet sponges thrown at him for Charity by putting his head in our stocks!
Robert had previously been President of a Lions Club before moving to the area and after attending a few Club meetings decided he would like to join RC of Chestfield. Robert is a baker so the fantastic cakes and bread he brought along for our weekly Charity Raffle helped sway our decision!
Pat, a local driving instructor, came along to see what Robert had got himself involved in and decided she wanted to join also.
We are very pleased to have them as members of Rotary and know they will both make a very positive contribution to the Club and support the projects and events we get involved in as well as the varied social events we run for members, family and friends.
If you would like to join Robert & Pat why not come along to a meeting and find out for yourself what Rotary is really all about - you may be very surprised!
