Student exchange between Chile and Argentina

Students from leading agricultural schools in La Cruz, Chile and Mendoza, Argentina are exchanged thanks to an agreements between the Rotary Club of La Cruz, Valparaíso, Chile and the Rotary Club of Rodeo de La Cruz in Mendoza Argentina.
During the last few years, the Rotary Club of La Cruz in Chile sponsored an exchange of students for a short (one-week) internship between a local agricultural school (technical secondary level) and an equivalent school in Rodeo de La Cruz in Mendoza, Argentina.
The latest exchange before our support started had occurred in 2014 when three Argentinean students visited the Technical Agricultural School “Obispo [Bishop] Rafael Lira-Infante” in La Cruz, hosted by the Rotary Club of La Cruz in Chile.
The Committee’s Report 2015-06-09 (click on link below) describes the exchange programme in detail and tells that the exchange had been suspended due to financial reasons on the side of the twin Argentinean Rotary Club. The Committee therefore proposed to allocate up to £500 to support the re-activation of the exchange.
Based on our committment and support, the Rotary Club of La Cruz in Chile awarded internships to three students who, accompanied by one of their teachers, travelled to Argentina in November 2015. Read more details by clicking on Report 2016-04-07 below.
