Neil was appointed by the Board of Trustees in April 2004, initially in a part-time capacity, but since September 2006 in the full-time role of Appeals Co-ordinator/Director.

Neil, who previously owned and ran a successful marketing communications business, is a close friend of the Bowler family, in memory of whose son, Richard, the original ‘Smile4Rich’ appeals were launched.

Neil is responsible for promoting awareness of the charity and its objectives, organising major fundraising events, developing corporate support, and managing the day-to-day operations of the charity. He is regularly booked as a guest speaker by Rotary Clubs and other associations, and his infectious enthusiasm for the work of the Wessex Neurological Centre and Smile4Wessex is invariably well received.
