The Glossop Jog 2016

Details for the Glossop Jog in October

This year’s annual Rotary Jog was held on Sunday October 2nd at our usual Fauvel Road Circuit.

The results are as follow:

Many thanks to everyone who made the 2016 Glossop Jog such a great event.


It was a fantastic morning, the sun shone on everyone, everyone was smiling and there was a carnival atmosphere in the air


We had previously chosen the following three local charities to support and benefit from your  fund raising activities from the Jog:


·         St. Christopher’s Trust – Redcourt (Glossop) – established in 1954 as a school for children with learning difficulties, the Trust has since then developed a range of services, including support  and residential care, supported tenancies and domiciliary care for adults with learning difficulties.

·         Blythe House Hospice (Chapel en le frith) – offering free individualised holistic care and support for anyone in the High Peak living with Cancer or other serious life threatening

·         Cafe Jericho (Gamesley) – a faith based Charity, working in the Gamesley community, and providing a meeting place to improve the opportunities for people in the


.... and can proudly say that with your fantastic support, we raised just over £6,000 and which allowed us to donate £2,000 to each of the above beneficiaries.


A  superb achievement by you all and our grateful thanks to everyone who supported us and helped in whatever way.


Can we beat that figure this year ???  Yes of course we can with your help..
