The contribution of the Radio Amateurs' Emergency Network to the success of the 2014 Tour de France was emphasised by Brian Dooks, North Yorkshire RAYNET County Controller. 1,600 volunteer members operate at emergencies and events. Brian is pictured with Club President Chris.

Thanks expressed to members who helped with the Tombola and collection at Ripon Racecourse last Wednesday. £805 was raised including £310 on the Tombola and to Rotarians who sang with Ripon Choral Society last Saturday.

£801 was raised by the Ripon branch of Yorkshire Cancer Research through the Himalayan Gardens visit.

The Ripon City of Sanctuary Group is holding a meeting this evening at Allhallowgate Methodist Church Hall at 7.30. First-hand accounts of the Syrian refugee crisis will be given.
