Jersey Hospice Visit and Dinner

Jersey Hospice Social Rotary Function

Dear All

We have now arranged an extra social Rotary function as previously advised which will taken place at the Jersey Hospice premises on Mont Cochon on  2nd November. The cost will be £25 each and there will be a dinner and presentation and tour. There will be a limit of 37 people so please book early. I hope that we shall support this event which will hopefully be the start of our Club actively working with Hospice on a number of initiatives. Emelita Robbins the Chief Executive Officer will show us the premises, plans for the future and there will be a presentation by Stewart Rowney, Chairman, Emelita Robbins, CEO and Gail Caddell Head of Palliative Care and tell us what they actually do as they feel that the public only see their role in end of life car e but there is much more to it than that. Also how they are funded etc.

The menu is as follows:-
Roasted Asparagus wrapped in Parma ham served with minted leaves, Parmesan shavings and Hollandaise sauce.
Baked Sea Bass with sizzled Ginger, Chilli & Spring onions. Served with Jersey Royals, Kenyan beans and sour caper cream.
Chocolate & Raspberry Mouse

Coffee/tea with Petit fours
I am trying to establish what will be the alternative for non fish eaters

The suggested format would be

6.30pm Arrive
6.45pm Tour of Jersey Hospice
7.00pm Presentation by Stewart Rowney, Chairman, Emelita Robbins, CEO and Gail Caddell Head of Palliative Care
7.30pm Dinner

Please contact Kevin Golder kevin.golder@hr--offshore.com
to confirm your attendance. Friends and family are welcome too but perhaps we can leave the booking for these till we see how numbers are looking as the Club ought to have the first opportunity to attend. Inner Wheel have also been invited to attend. I hope that there will be good support for this event . Sadly we have all been touched in some way by the work that they do so selflessly and caringly.

Best wishes

Roger
