Clitheroe and Ribblesdale Clubs working together for Polio Plus
The Rotary Clubs of Clitheroe & Ribblesdale together with the pupils of Ribblesdale High School are turning Clitheroe Purple4Polio. Ruby giant crocus corms have been planted in open green spaces in Clitheroe to raise awareness of Rotary International’s campaign to fight polio. The purple crocuses will add a splash of colour and vibrancy to the town. Rotary and its members have been committed to fighting to eradicate polio across the world for over 30 years. The amount of polio-endemic countries has dropped from 125 to just two, with over 2.5 billion children receiving vaccinations thanks to the help of Rotary.
