2017 - Life Straws
Club members with some of the Life Straws on there way to Tanzania.
Present Sue Durose of Blythe Bridge and District Rotary can be seen here taking delivery of over 200 Lifestraw Family at a cost of £20 each.
The Family LifeStraw’s are destined for the Rotary Club of Arusha in Tanzania where they will be distributed to families in need of clean drinking water.
The Family Lifestraw allows people to create access to safe and clean homemade drinking water by allowing them to have a stable and reliable source of water for home consumption. It will filter up to 18,000 litres of water enough to supply a family with safe drinking water for three years.
Blythe Bridge and District Rotary would like to thank the Sandon High School, Meir Heath, Fulford, Forsbrook, Wetley Rocks, Springcroft and St Filumenas Primary Schools for their support during the duration of the project.
