Dictionaries for Life presentations
Over 350 dictionaries were presented to pupils at 6 local schools in June and July.
For the seventh year running, the Rotary Club of Burnham Beeches has supported the RIBI national literacy programme with their Dictionary For
Life project. Education is a priority for Rotary and the project
enables year six pupils in local schools to be given dictionaries which
they can keep for life.
This year the Club donated over 350 dictionaries to schools in the Farnhams, Burnham and Taplow. Rotarians presented the dictionaries at the leaving ceremonies at each of the schools at the end of June and early July.
The photograph shows pupils at Farnham Common Junior and the Priory School, Burnham receiving their dictionaries.
