Wadebridge Wheels 2018
Wheels is always a great day out for anyone with an interest in older cars, even if it’s just the nostalgia of seeing the cars you had when younger. The 22nd annual running of the event will take place at the Royal Cornwall Showground, Wadebridge, on Sunday 15th July.
Around 700 classic vehicles have already been registered by proud owners, well on the way to last year’s 1,350, so there will be a lot to see. In addition to the cars, there are motorbikes, commercial and agricultural vehicles, static engines and trade stands, as well as food and drink, children’s entertainments and parade ring events.
Entry costs just £7 per person, with children under 12 free. Make sure you bring cash, though. Wheels is organised by Wadebridge Rotary as a charity fund-raising event and the cost of taking cards reduces the amount available for the charities. The primary charity this year is the Chestnut Appeal for Prostate Cancer, but St Petroc’s Society and many other local Cornish charities will also benefit.
The visitor entrance is via the showground’s East Gate, with free car parking opposite the BP garage. Gates open to visitors at 10.00am. Mobility scooters will be available to hire at £15 for the day from Concern Wadebridge. Please book in advance on 01208 812392, as availability is limited.
Wadebridge Rotary is looking forward to seeing you there
