Many thanks to those who came and held a
collection bucket waiting for passers by to contribute. Some of you must have
winning smiles which enticed people not only to dig out their last one and two
pence pieces, but also nearly five hundred one pound coins.
Your treasurer has worn his fingers nearly to the bone in doing a swift count of the takings and can is happy to reveal that subject to confirmation and recount, we have raised just short of £1000.
If any one cares to pledge £9.91 that would take us to spot on £1000!
