Jean Armour Lunch raises over £2,000 for good causes.
On the 28th of January, 108 ladies enjoyed a wonderful Jean Armour Lunch in the Lochgreen House Hotel. A most informative Immortal Memory was given by Emma Harper MSP. The haggis was piped in by Jean Allardyce, a long time supporter of this event, followed by the Address to the Haggis which was expertly executed by Anne Fraser. Laughter and tears resulted as Tracy Harvey presented her poetry in her native Scots tongue. The beautiful voice of Olivia Burnham reminded us of the songs penned by Robert Burns and Olivia's accompanist, Kirsty Walker, closed the afternoon with a rousing Auld Lang Syne. £1,200 will be donated to Irvine and Troon Cancer Care and Rotary projects will benefit from the remainder of the profit. Warm thanks are given to the ladies for their generosity, support and laughter.
