Message to all in Howden Cliugh / Birstall / Batley
ROTARY SANTA SLEIGH this Christmas
Dear friends and supporters, during December we would normally be touring the streets of Birstall and Batley with Santa on the Rotary sleigh. Sadly, because of Covid-19 restrictions, and for the first time in more than 20 years, we are unable to carry out our usual visits and collections this year. The Santa Sleigh tours are the highlight of our Rotary year and we'll very much miss seeing you all. Like so many charities, our fundraising efforts have been severely curtailed this year so our focus has been to support the local food share groups in both Birstall and Batley providing much needed help to those families who find themselves in financial difficulties during the pandemic. We all hope that life will return to normal during 2021 and very much look forward to seeing you all in and around town. In the meantime, we wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a Healthy New Year, from all at the Rotary Club of Birstall Luddites

The purpose of a local Rotary Club is to connect people who then work together to help the community and promote goodwill and peace.

The Rotary Club of Birstall Luddites has a current membership of 24 men and women who raise money locally from Christmas Santa Sleigh and Tesco collections, social and fund raising events through the year.

Money raised allows us to make donations locally, nationally and internationally.
Joining Rotary is your opportunity to make a difference and you will have fun and make some great friends along the way!
