Youth Speakes

Recently Biddulph Rotary Club hosted the First round of Rotary Youth Speaks competition for schools from South Cheshire areas.

A team from Sandbach High School and Sixth Form College entered the Rotary Youth Speaks competition. The team, comprising Harriet Ashley (Chair), Jasmine Mitchell (Speaker) and Suprity Sharma (Vote of thanks) took part in the first round of the competition held recently at Biddulph.

They competed against three teams at Senior Level from Macclesfield: Fallibroome High School, All Hallows Catholic College and Kings School and their topic was "Casual Celebration: the Disadvantages of Tokenism". They impressed the judges with their performance and, at the end of the evening, were declared winners in this round of the competition.

The team go on to take part in the Rotary District 1285 (Northwest and Isle of Man) round of the competition to be held on 5th March at Frodsham.
