CLUB VISIT TO AQUABOX, WIRKSWORTH, MATLOCK, DERBYSHIRE

Nine Rotarians visited Aquabox, Wirksworth, Matlock, Derbyshire

Aquabox provides safe drinking water and humanitarian aid to people affected by natural disasters, extreme weather and conflicts

Millions of people around the world don’t have access to clean water for drinking, cooking or washing. A single Aquabox family filter can convert up to half a million litres of polluted water into safe, clean water – and give some of those desperate people the hope of a better life.

Following an earlier club talk, the club were invited to visit the production facility at Wirksworth, Matlock, Derbyshire to see first hand the pump production and the packing of the boxes. Members received comprehensive information on the process.

Following the visit the members retired to a local hoselry for lunch.
