Today, our guest speaker at lunch was Chris Scarisbrick, secretary of the Newton and District Veteran's Association. He explained the origins of the group and the good work they are doing in our local community. They have built and maintain the Memorial Garden adjacent to Earlestown Town Hall which now includes a reflection bench. They recently assisted the youngsters from Business for Youth plant our crocus bulbs for End Polio Now.

These are People of Action and have values and beliefs a bit like Rotary.
