Sandbach Interact Club

Dear Friends,

We are the Interactors at Sandbach High School and Sixth Form College, and we are writing to tell you about what we do at Interact. Interact is a Youth Rotary Club, where we do a variety of things from organising and participating in charity events to entering competitions. A few weeks ago, we took part in the extra-curricular fair where we recruited some new members and got to see lots of other great clubs which are available at our school.  

 This year at Interact we are organising a number of events, one of these is that we are adopting an animal through a wildlife charity called the WWF to protect endangered species. After discussing what this should be, we voted and decided on adopting an elephant. 

We are also planning to take part in the Christmas Fair, where we plan to raise money for WaterAid, which raises money with the aim to give clean water and sanitation for all. These are just a few of the things that we have planned for this year. 

 We always finish our meetings with a poem. This week's poem is "Love and Friendship" by Emily Brontë:

"Love is like the wild rose-briar,

Friendship is like the holly-tree-

The holly is dark when the rose-briar blooms

But which will bloom most constantly?"
