Presentation of Awards to Hawick High School's Young Artists


At Hawick High School on 6th December, Hawick Rotary's President Ron Smith presented awards to the school's young artists who had gained recognition in Rotary District 1020's Young Artist Competition for 2022-23. The theme for the year was 'Black & White'.

Alicia was the Winner of the Intermediate Class with her work on the candle, and Niamh was Highly Commended in the Senior Class for her depiction of a face.

Hawick High School's Headteacher Mrs Lisa Scott was presented with a commemorative plaque to record the success of her students.

President Ron also paid tribute to the support given by the School's Art Department staff, of whom Ms Anderson and Ms Ling were present at the presentations.
