On Wednesday 7th March we had a surprise visit from Marianne Auch of the Rotary Club of Edmonton Whyte Ave, Alberta, Canada.

Greetings were exchanged between Marianne and President Stuart, and he presented her with a club banner. In Canada it was winter and there was at least a foot of snow on the ground. So it was pleasant to visit England and Grimsby where we're having  a mild winter.

Marianne had been a teacher but was now retired and with her husband was having vacations. She addressed the club and please note that schools were not closed in Edmonton (when it snowed) unlike us in the UK!
