There is something traditionally "British" on a warm summer evening, to gather on the pub lawn and play a friendly game of quoits.
There is something traditionally "British" on a warm summer evening, to gather on the pub lawn and play a friendly game of quoits. Everything was perfect at Bowburn Hotel as 43 players from Blyth to Newton Aycliffe joined us for our hosting of this District event. The beer flowed, the steak pie went down a treat, the sun shone, as the sound of metal rings clanging and crowds clapping filled the air. Our own team of Godfrey and Syd did us proud to reach the final but they were eventually beaten by the reigning champions from Blyth.
