 Reminders:

Ø    I have received a complaint from a member as follows:  Have received a call to my home phone from the Millennium Centre Cardiff, asking if I'm representative of the Rotary Club of …..  When I asked where they had my details from, I was told from a 'list'.  Are Rotary now giving out/selling lists of personal details please?

This has been investigated by the District Governor and RIBI and both confirm that no lists of Rotary members details are being sold or made available to outside organisations.  However we have no control over the safe keeping of this information by individual Rtns who should be reminded that all information in any Rotary Directory (Club, District, RIBI or RI) is solely for internal use and not to be shared in any way with outside organisations or individuals.  Can Club Secretaries please remind their club members?

 Other news:

Ø     Fishguard & Goodwick R.C. have a demonstration Water Survival Box, along with a repaired – but working – Family Life Straw and a couple of the old type small life straws. They make a very effective demo item - at a recent carnival the club had the Family Life Straw filtering muddy water from a glass tank into a glass.

Chelwood Bridge R.C., who supply the Water Survival Box, has asked the club to hang on to the demo box in case any other club in District 1150 want to use it.  If you or your club know of anyone who wants a good working demo please contact AG/Sec Chris Williams at:       chrisandbrenda@glynn-williams.freeserve.co.uk  or 01348 875131.

Ø    DO YOU WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY?

Who is your constituency AM ?  Who are your regional Representatives ?  What areas of responsibility do they hold ?

Learn more about the National Assembly for Wales.  Ask your club Speaker's Secretary to invite us to speak at your monthly meeting or take part in a work shop discussing issues that are concerning you most.

Learn more - it's a chance to ask questions and its free and non political.
