This entails visiting the concert site after the event to collect sleeping bags and other items for Uganda
A strong team of club members turned out at Hylands Park to collect tents, sleeping bags and other items. The tents will be sold to raise funds, whilst the sleeping bags will be used in an Aid shipment to Uganda. The site resembled a battlefield, as most festival goers just up and leave at the end of the concert leaving most of their belongings behind. A huge clean-up operation follows to bring the park back to normal.
BBC Blue Peter programme makers were there to make a short clip for their young audience to show recycling in action, and how essential an organised clean-up operation is.
