On Monday 10th October we welcomed the GSE Team from Sao Paulo, Brazil. Rodney and
Co showed them around the Lifeboat Station and Old Harwich in the afternoon and
then they joined us for dinner. Rotarians from Calcton, Frinton and Manningtree
Stour Valley also joined us for the dinner and the presentation. Team Leader
Rotarian Paulo Kenzo Uemura, from the Rotary Club of Sao Paulo Liberdade
(District 4430) introduced Ana Nascimento (Personal Trainer), Rafal Bobrow
(Creative and Art Director in Advertising), Erik Rosa De Miranda (Nursing
Student/English Teacher) and Vitor Rossatti Junior (Management Systems Analyst)
and each gave a little talk about themselves , their area and Brazil in
general. Brazil has a population of 192 million, is the 5th largest country in
the world, is 47% of South America, the worlds 8th largest economy and
according to market projections will be the 5th largest by 2020.

Sao Paulo is the largest city in Brazil, the largest city in the western and
southern hemisphere, and the world
