AQUABOX: The standard Aquabox is very effective in delivering safe water in emergencies. Now Aquabox has been further refined by the utilisation of membrane chemical-free technology, providing portable cost-effective filter units. WATER-SURVIVAL BOX: The standard Water Survival Box is designed to bring rapid aid to a family of four who have lost their home and possessions following a natural or man-made disaster. The first is a water purification kit and other survival items supporting eating, drinking, health and hygiene, basic shelter and household items, ensuring survival for the early weeks and months after the disaster. SHELTERBOX: The ShelterBox solution in disaster response is as simple as it is effective. Shelterbox delivers the essentials a family needs to survive in the immediate aftermath of a disaster. Each large, green ShelterBox is tailored to a disaster but typically contains a disaster relief tent for an extended family, blankets, water storage and purification equipment, cooking utensils, a stove, a basic tool kit, a children's activity pack and other vital items. Over 108,000 shelterboxes have been sent out to disasters Worldwide. www.shelterbox.org
LIFEBOX: Natural disasters the world over deprive families of their homes and possessions. The Rotary LifeBox helps those in need by providing basic provisions desperately by those affected following earthquakes, floods, drought and war. The box provides humanitarian aid by including such things as: clothes, blankets, cookware, baby care items and essential tools. www.life-box.org.uk
LITERACY IN A BOX: Most children in Third World are living at poverty levels and issues of hunger and a ready supply of clean water and sanitation are pre-occupying. However,literacy can provide a solution to all these problems. Better educated children can develop skills that allow communities have a better chance in the future. The Literacy Box provides materials and teaching assistance that will ensure this future.
