Worthing Rotary Clubs join together to present a Carnival for Worthing Residents and their children over the bank holiday weekend.

Rotary Carnival brings two days of family fun to Worthing!

Two days of fun and spectacle for all the family as the Rotary Carnival hits the Sea Front of Worthing on this coming Bank Holiday weekend.   All events free to attend!

This year the children will be thrilled by the circus theme provided by Circus Pazaz performing each day on the Steyne, giving children the chance to learn tightrope, juggling, hula hoop, spin plates, stilt walking as well as getting their faces painted and much more!

This will all be part of the family festival days which will include two days of Beach Markets along the promenade, interactive workshops, live performances and a car show for the enthusiasts!

Mixed in all this there will be stilt walkers, Morris dancers, acrobats, tea tents, a balloon market, a bar, food stalls, charity stalls, and plenty of live music to get you jigging.

And not to be missed is the high spot, the Carnival Procession on the Bank Holiday Monday.   Starting from Grand Avenue at 12.30 the procession will make its way along the sea front to Steyne Gardens.    See the vibrancy of Worthing community come to life with floats, bands, dancing groups and local theatre and art groups.

The event is organised jointly by the three Rotary Clubs of Worthing and it is one of their major fund raising and community events.      You will not be able to miss the colourful costumed Rotary collectors with their buckets along the route of the Procession, so please give generously!

Worthing Carnival is one of the oldest Carnivals in the UK with a history going back to 1921.   In that time it has support innumerable local charities.    Beneficiaries in recent years include Worthing Homeless, The Ferring Country Centre, the RNLI, Polio Plus, Marie Curie, The Cleft Lip Association, Water Aid, and Shelter Boxes.    Funding support to mount the Carnival has been received from the Town Centre Initiative and a Worthing Community Grant.

Rotarians love creating this annual event and making a difference in the lives of others, locally, nationally and internationally.   You can be part of this sociable and fun work!   Why not join us at one of our Tuesday Evening Meetings at the Tudor Close Pub in Ferring.    Contact our Secretary, Jayne Knight on 01903 501961 or Google our West Worthing Rotary Club website for more information.
