EACH year the Rotary Club of Oswestry is pleased to sponsor an award at The Marches School Speech Day for "Service to the School".

This year's recipient is Hargreaves House Captain Rebecca Manford who receives the shield, a certificate and an Amazon gift voucher.  As Rebecca will not be present at the annual Presentation Evening, the award was recently presented by Rotary Club President David Davies and Chairman of The Marches Local Governing Body Mark Liquorish at the school.

President David was pleased to read the citation prepared by the school: "Rebecca has maintained an impeccable record in school. Rebecca has put everything into her role in the student leadership and has attended all events possible to support the school. Her dedication will no doubt leave her in good stead with employers lucky enough to hire her in the future - Well done Rebecca"

Congratulating Rebecca David said: "It is rewarding to see young people becoming involved in many aspects of school life.  They enjoy their school life much more and it is good to know that the school recognises their efforts and will go on and support their future career plans where possible."
