Most of you will remember that I suggested the visit should be to Filton, Gloucester where Concorde, which celebrates 50 years this year, and many other aircraft are on display.
I am suggesting we travel by coach and if we can put 21 people on a 29 seater then the cost of the coach is £20 per head. I am suggesting we go on Tuesday 21st May leaving at 8 am from town. Ticket price is a further £15 although we may get a deal if there are more than 20 of us.
Before I actually book the coach I need to know the level of interest, whilst I do not want money this month I do need numbers and I will collect money next month. If we can get close to this number I will try to top up the coach from Borderland and of course your guests are very welcome.
Please respond by email.
STOP PRESS - 13th May 2019
Afternoon All
Next Tuesday some of us are going to Bristol to see Concorde amongst
many aircraft, pick up times are 7.50 at Marches School, 7.55 outside
Bellan House School opposite the Wynnstay Hotel, and then the last few
at Greyfriars Estate by Denzil’s at 8.00. Unless you let me know which
stop then I will leave it up to you to be on the coach.
Further details - 20th May 2019
We will be stopping for a comfort break on the way to Bristol. When we
arrive I have arranged for us to be given a tour of the site before you
go off to explore the rest of the exhibition.
There are refreshments
available at Filton. We intend to be back in Oswestry soon after 6 pm.
For further information go to British Aerospace website.
The money you have already paid will cover all gratuities to the site guides and the coach driver.
See you tomorrow
